Summary
Responsible for all functionality/operations of all applications software (i.e. Casino Management System, Point Of Sale, Property Management System, Inventory Control System, etc.) Provides 24x7 technical support, and works to provide highest levels of systems performance and availability. Collects and distributes accurate and timely data for capacity planning and performance management. Other duties include working with Help Desk making sure all Work Orders are completed in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
I.T. Activities/Functions
Responsible for installation, documentation, maintenance, and upgrades of all systems software.
Responsible for maintaining application availability to meet customer Service Level Agreements.
Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of all server systems and software applications.
Maintain all documentation of all systems and software applications.
Assist with the documentation, implementation and testing disaster recovery procedures for computer systems and software applications.
Assists with the creation of documentation, standards, and procedures to facilitate cross-utilization of systems and application resources.
Provide project coordination for all systems projects.
This includes, but is not limited to, definition and documentation of requirements, development of methods and procedures, project management, development of plans and schedules, resource management and maintenance.
Collects and distributes accurate and timely data for supported systems and application capacity planning and performance management, including data replication and other appropriate systems tests to ensure data integrity.
Collaborates with representatives from various Cache Creek Casino Resort business units to implement technology solutions that meet business requirements.
Act as department technical advisor to other business units as required.
Provide technical support for the IT Help Desk.
Maintain computer systems and software applications to ensure maximum availability and reliability.
Provide preventative maintenance for all applications through the timely implementation of service packs, etc.
Coordinates associated vendor activities and ensures compliance with contracts and with Cache Creek Casino Resort standards.
Assist activities of third-party maintenance personnel, when applicable.
Maintain user documentation for all software applications and related business processes.
Work with other IT staff members to document and maintain the registration of all software licenses.
Reconcile work orders from the IT Help Desk on daily basis and provide appropriate status reports.
Security and Integrity of all computer resources
Assist in maintaining and testing of all security access/login policies and procedures for all systems property-wide (Casino Management System, Point Of Sale, Property Management System, Inventory Control System, etc.)
Comply with IT policies to maintain the security and integrity of the computer room, Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF), and telecommunications room (MPOE).
Notify supervisor, IT Manager and Chief Information Officer immediately of security breaches.

Define, document, and comply with IT Department standards and practices for systems and application security.
Define, document, and comply with IT Department standards and practices for systems and application maintenance.
Communication
Communicate and define daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and operating procedures for all applications and related systems.
Produce daily/weekly/monthly status reports on all system issues (i.e., software, upgrades etc).
Adhere to departmental Change Management policies to keep IT staff and department Managers/Directors informed of all system changes.
Attends business and technical meetings, and collaborates with colleagues to develop "best practices" policies and procedures, and to identify and resolve issues to help create reliable and efficient information technology systems.
Collaborate with other departments and maintain positive customer relationships.
Attend weekly IT departmental meetings.
Training
Research educational opportunities and provide related information to the IT Training Supervisor.
Cross-train IT personnel and other employees, when applicable.
Maintain a training log (i.e., time dates, individuals, and subjects etc.)
Maintain procedural logs to report activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Attend industry conferences, and/or focus groups to keep up-to-date with changing vendor technologies.
Attend educational classes, seminars, and/or workshops and provide an in-service training to IT staff.
Technical Guidance
Assist Cache Creek Casino Resort in selection of application software, databases, desktop publishing, utility software (i.e., networking and performance testing), etc.
Review departmental requests for application software and advise department head, and management, of usage, cost and availability (provide quotes)

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education
Two to five years experience as a network or system administrator and/or network technician in a heterogeneous computer environment; Bachelor's degree (B.A.); in computer networking/science or appropriate certifications in networking and security or equivalent combination of experience and education. Minimum of two years project management experience and software implementation experience. Six months required experience with POS systems (Micros and Inforgenesis), Casino systems, Hotel Systems and Food and Beverage Systems.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, mathematical or schedule form.
